This Oxford based installation comprises three chargers: two 22kW units and one 7.4kW unit, offering a robust solution for the client’s electric vehicle charging needs. The setup follows the previous installation of single-phase devices in the clients domestic setting, providing an upgrade to a more powerful and efficient three-phase system. The two 22kW chargers are designed to handle ‘Rapid’ charging, while the 7.4kW charger is ideal for standard usage. The system is equipped with a user-friendly app control, which allows for easy management and monitoring of the chargers. The app simplifies the user experience, providing real-time insights, charging status updates, and remote control capabilities. Additionally, to ensure secure and restricted access, the chargers are equipped with RFID card functionality. This feature restricts charging access to authorised employees only, preventing unauthorised use and ensuring the system is used efficiently and securely. The combination of powerful charging units, intuitive app control, and RFID security makes this installation both practical and highly secure for the client's needs.
In collaboration with Compleo Charging Solutions UK, we completed the first phase of installing EV chargers across council-owned premises in Oxfordshire. Our role in the project included electrical system design, groundwork coordination, and installing the Compleo E-Box charging posts and units, supplied directly by the manufacturer. This comprehensive approach ensured a seamless and efficient installation process, meeting all the necessary requirements for the project. As part of the authority’s growing E-Fleet, we have successfully rolled out this installation across multiple sites, supporting the transition to sustainable, electric vehicle charging infrastructure for the council’s operations.
This solar installation spans two rooftops and includes protective bird netting to ensure the system’s longevity and reliability. It features a 2-string MPPT tracker hybrid inverter paired with an energy storage system, designed to maximise self-consumption and reduce energy bills. The system allows the client to monitor performance and control energy usage via a smart app, offering real-time data on energy generation and enabling efficient management of stored power for optimal consumption.
This installation is situated at an office unit, providing a convenient and efficient charging solution for users. By using the Monta application, users can easily charge their electric vehicles and pay for their power usage directly through the app on their phones. The system ensures a seamless experience, allowing users to monitor their charging sessions, track energy consumption, and make payments with ease. The integration of the Monta app simplifies the process for both users and administrators, offering a user-friendly and secure way to manage and pay for charging services.
After being called to address inefficiencies in a solar system installed by another provider, we conducted a detailed review of the system setup and manufacturer’s documentation. During our assessment, we discovered configuration setting errors that, although the system was generating power effectively, restricted self-utilisation and exportation. This oversight has cost the client thousands in lost revenue. Our findings underline the crucial importance of correct system configuration to optimise performance and maximise financial benefits. This was an installation directly for the ChargePoint provider in Newcastle, replacing existing old redundant units with their new updated charge points.
This is a project in Gloucester where we installed six new chargers for the clients. We produced an installation that created the least impact on the client and users of a busy premises. This has been a project in the planning for a very long time due to the sensitivity of equipment internally; however, split across two phases, we were able to provide the product for a happy client.
